Therabear can become a child's new best friend.  Therabear was developed with research to provide children with just the right size to hold and squeeze when comfort is desired.  Therabear is a good size to pack for children to take along with them when they are away from home.  Furthermore, in addition to being a great friend to hug, each Therabear has multiple textures to provide positive sensory input.  As the Therabear family grows, a variety of textures and colors will be available so that children can benefit from various sensory experiences.  Each Therabear will also provide a set of therapy steps that children can learn over time and use in any number of settings and circumstances.

There is an ever-growing need for mental health intervention for all ages, especially for our youth. Yet, many difficulties and roadblocks prevent children from receiving any assistance. While Therabear will not take the place of long-term therapy in an office setting, Therabear can provide steps to help children feel calm during difficult times. You can help your child learn to use Therabear to feel better emotionally when he or she becomes anxious, upset, nervous, sad, or overwhelmed. Therabear can be used by all children, including youth who have been assigned diagnoses of ADHD, ODD, ASD, mood and anxiety disorders, and other behavior disorders.

Therabear will begin talking when its belly is hugged, providing comforting therapeutic steps for children to complete along with Therabear. Over time, children can learn and use these tools in many settings on their own.

The multiple textures and colors of each bear can be soothing and comforting for children. As children feel comforted when giving Therabear a hug, and through listening to the therapeutic strategies provided, over time they can become better prepared to stop and calm themselves before responding impulsively or in a negative manner. These are invaluable skills that children, and people of all ages, can use throughout a lifetime.
